Cranio-Sacral Therapy

A manual technique that helps to detect and correct imbalances in the cranio-sacral system that can cause intellectual, motor or sensory dysfunctions.
It is a non-invasive method, which consists of applying light pressure with the hands at specific points throughout the body, detecting and correcting the imbalances of the Cranio-Sacral System that can cause intellectual, motor or sensory dysfunctions and activating the functioning of the natural healing processes of our body.
It is recommended as a preventive treatment as it improves the immune system and provides greater energy, quality of sleep and physical and mental balance.
The Cranio-Sacral System is made up of the meningeal membranes and bones to which they are inserted and the cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord: including the skull (vault, face and mouth) and sacrum.
From the skull to the sacrum there is a mobility marked by a rhythm and unlike other rhythms, it can be evaluated and corrected through palpation. Any type of dysfunction and blockage, whether by shock or emotional or physical stress, will affect this system.
With a slight contact a trained therapist perceives the pulsations that the Cranio-Sacral system transmits to the whole body through the Fascial System, made up of connective tissue.
An alteration in the fascia can modify the structure of the body and affect its function, since each organ, each muscle, each vessel is enveloped by this fascia. The therapeutic work consists of helping the patient to re-establish the normal flow of movement through the attenuation or disappearance of these resistances.
The Cranio-Sacral System’s vital function is to maintain the environment in which the Central Nervous System functions.
The human body behaves like an open book, everything that influences and affects it is reflected in it, one only has to know how to interpret its language in order to understand it.
Every human being as a whole transmits its essence by impulses of energy through the internal structures to the spinal cord, which then channels to the head and gives us the information we need to know the state of the person.
For 30 years it has been shown to be effective in a wide range of clinical disorders linked to pain and in various clinical pictures such as :
– Congenital dysfunctions
– Injuries to the central nervous system, spinal cord and cranial pairs
– Headaches
– Motor Incoordination
– Chronic neck and back pains, muscle tension.
– Articular and structural problems
– hearing, vision, and mouth problems
– Digestive problems
– Breathing problems
– Lack of concentration, stress, anxiety, chronic fatigue.
– Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunctions.
– Learning disorders
– After-effects of accidents: post-traumatic and emotional stress
– Autism and behavioral disorders, hyperactivity.
– Psychosomatic rebalancing
